Summary

Structure: The paper consists of an introduction, four chapters, conclusions and recommendations, 138 bibliography titles, and includes 4 Annexes, 138 pages, 73 figures, 39 tables. The aim of the thesis is to contribute on increasing Moldova's energy security by integrating offshore wind power in the national power system.

Objectives are increasing the share of renewable energy in the joint production of the national energy system through solving the connection of offshore wind power in the electricity system of the Republic of Moldova; developing recommendations for creating national legal framework, which takes into account the characteristics of wind power; and the estimation of maximum power of renewable energy that can technically be connected to the national electricity system without fortify them.

Scientific novelty and originality of the work. Develop a new method and algorithm for estimating the maximum allowable power through a section of the power system by excluding the need to perform difficult calculations standing regimes operating on the edge convergence iterative process.

Important scientific problem solved. It consists in solving the problem of estimating the maximum output by a section of the power system with consideration of connected wind capacity, which gives information for decision making regarding the use of wind energy in different areas of the country.

Theoretical importance. The thesis makes scientific contributions to calculation and analysis of standing operating regimes of electricity transmission grids by considering the integration of wind power plants.

The practical value of the work. They were developed normative-technical requirements for connecting the wind farm to the national power system; was created a program and an algorithm for calculating the two-phase short-circuit study of DFIG; it was estimated maximum total power that can be technically injected into the existing national power system, excluding the necessity to strengthen it.

Implementation of research results. The research results were presented to the transmission system operator S.E. "Moldelectrica", to the Energy Efficiency and Sources of Renewable Energy Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and to the Romanian Wind Energy Association.
